It’s been ages since I did a Sunday book haul so I’ll only share my review books and random ebooks picked up from Kindle daily deals. My local used bookstore does a monthly bag sale where you can fill an entire back for $5 and I’ve been going monthly the past couple of months and it has definitely built up my physical collection mighty quickly. lol I’ll try to remember to take a picture of my haul when I inevitably go again next time. 🙂

I’ve been really trying lately to do more with Instagram because all the Bookstagrammers these days are so inspiring and it’s really quite fun! ♥ These are a few of mine from the past week and the rest of them here. 🙂

New Book

Only picked up the one this past week. I own another Didion already that I haven’t read but I’ve had my heart set on owning this one for ages. It sounds incredible.

Between some Kindle sales, an Audible sale, and my Book of the Month order, I’ve got tons to share today. 🙂

I finally discovered Clive Barker last year and I’ve slowly been accumulating his collection of stories. And can you believe I haven’t read any Scalzi yet? I’ve been on a bit of a true crime kick lately and had to get Helter Skelter when I saw it on the audible sale! And Thick as Thieves, of course. Added bonus: Steve West narrates. 🙂

Abarat (Abarat #1) by Clive Barker

Helter Skelter by Vincent Bugliosi
Lock In (Lock In #1) by John Scalzi
Thick as Thieves (The Queen’s Thief #5) by Megan Whalen Turner

I had a couple of free book credits so I used those to get the newest from Megan Abbott and David Grann. Very excited for all of these!

Book of the Month

Woman No. 17 by Edan Lepucki
You Will Know Me by Megan Abbott
Killers of the Flower Moon: The Osage Murders and the Birth of the FBI by David Grann

What new books did you get this week?

I’ve gotten a bit lazy with my weekly posts! I’m exhausted practically all the time lately and usually by the time I realize that I don’t have a post for the next day, I’m usually in bed and good luck getting me up. I haven’t been spending my weekends getting stuff ready for the week and I need to get back into the groove of that so I have some posts ready to go in advance and not just the night before. 🙂

New Books

I realized I keep forgetting to share my BOTM pick from April (lol, my May box is already en route.) I haven’t read it yet because I haven’t been quite in the mood yet but I’m very excited to get around to it.

I (of course) pre-ordered ACOWAR (and also took the day off work just to read it). Sadly, it was a bit of a disappointment for me. I picked up Wedding Girl on sale for Kindle and an Agatha Christie. My library checkouts are a bit random. I don’t often read Non-Fiction but I have always been fascinated by the Tudor time period. What led up to the Tudor time period? Well, that’s my current obsession. I’m currently reading The Wars of the Roses and I absolutely love it. I’ve since added a crazy amount of fascinating sounding histories to my TBR because apparently it’s quickly become my thing. I’m all ears for recommendations. 🙂

American War by Omar El Akkad [Purchase]
A Court of Wings and Ruin (A Court of Thorns and Roses #3) by Sarah J. Maas [Purchase]
Wedding Girl by Stacey Ballis [Purchase]
Death on the Nile (Hercule Poirot #17) by Agatha Christie [Purchase]

Library Checkouts

The Wars of the Roses: The Fall of the Plantagenets and the Rise of the Tudors by Dan Jones [Purchase]
The Plantagenets: The Warrior Kings and Queens Who Made England by Dan Jones [Purchase]

Got two review books this week: The Boy on the Bridge and Lightwood. I snagged up a few Kindle sales too. I’m most excited to finally read Love is a Mix Tape… I’ve been wanting that for ages. And I had to snag up a digital copy of Darkfever because it was (and still is!) only $0.99.

I also keep forgetting to share my growing collection of audibles in part because of sales, an Audible giveaway I won, Kindle matchmaker deals, and my renewed membership. Here’s what I’ve snagged over the last couple of months.

The Scorpio Races by Maggie Stiefvater [Purchase]
by Stephen King [Purchase]
A Court of Thorns and Roses (A Court of Thorns and Roses #1) by Sarah J. Maas [Purchase]

Another week has gone by. I can’t believe it’s already April guys! I got to sit out on my balcony for the first time in what feels like ages so I’m looking forward to more of those days. I didn’t have to work a billion hours this week so I got some things posted on the blog this week. I also went to see Ellen Hopkins at my local Barnes & Noble yesterday and got to chat (more like chatter in indecipherable tones because I was a bundle of nerves) with her and ask her a couple of questions. I’ll try to write up a small post about it later this week. 🙂

OH MAN. What a week. I didn’t get a whole lot done on the blog but I’m surprised I got ANYTHING done considering I worked damn near 70 hours last week. I’m really glad March is over, to say the least. I got a few books in the mail including a really awesome box from Big Honcho Media which alas, isn’t included in this post because I didn’t have a chance to get a picture yet. Next week though! This week is all about American Gods. 🙂
