Parajunkee and Alison Can Read host ‘Follow Friday’ which helps everyone get their blog out there for others to love. If you want your blog to get more follower love, head on over to their websites to find out more about it!

.

Q: Define what characteristics your favorite books share?
A: I don’t think there’s one single characteristic that is shared with all of my favorite books as they are all quite different. I can say that most of my favorite books have a strong storyline that I watch building as I turn the pages. Strong storylines help me get wrapped up in the story and feel like I’m actually there, living it. It’s also incredibly important for me to have not necessarily strong characters, but ones that definitely leave an impression with me and ones where I actually care whether they stick around in the land of the living or not.

It can also really depend upon my mood what I end up loving ‘at the moment’. Sometimes I really need to read about some badass chick that can kick some serious ass and sometimes I just want to read about a girl that falls madly in love with the hero.

  1. I actually thought that all my favorites were different but when I though about it, I realized that they have something in common – a great plot.

Come and see my FF HOP if you have the time.

  2. Fairytale Nerd

I love a book with a paranormal element. I just cannot get enough of those. It lets me escape reality.

Hopping through. Mood is so important in a read. What I like often depends on how I’m feeling or if I’ve read too many of a certain type of book lately.

  4. The Muggle

Agree if a story grabs you and doesn’t’ let go, you are more likely to remember and treasure it!

  5. Yay for someone else whose answer is the story line/plot! I was beginning to think I was the only one, with all those character lovers out there! 😉 Yes, I like my characters to be strong and complex and someone I can relate to, but the plot is what hooks me.

Your blog is really pretty and I’m looking forward to reading more from you!
