Showcase Sunday (52)

Posted July 14, 2013 by Bonnie in Sunday Book Haul / 17 Comments

I totally broke my promise to stay away from the library in order to work on my owned books but I got into a total graphic novel mood. I’ve tried several and have yet to find a series I really enjoyed but I think I found it in Fables. SO MUCH FUN. I also picked up a Kindle book that I’ve been eyeing for a while and a few other freebies.
What new book goodies did you guys get this week?

  1. I was so tempted to grab the Night Creatures series but I didn't end up enjoying the first book, but I can't wait too see how you find them. I hope you enjoy all your reads Bonnie! 🙂

I haven't read book # 2 in the White Trash Zombie series yet, so, no sense in getting book # 3! I see on Amazon Prime you can borrow the Night Creature series. Will be looking for your reviews!

OOh nice haul!! These are all pretty new to me, but I have heard of Diana Rowland's books! I just haven't read this particular series of hers! Happy Reading!

Ooo, great haul this week! I haven't heard of any of them, sadly, but the covers sure are interesting! Enjoy 🙂

I can't tell you are really into graphic novels! I like them too though I don't know if it's as much as you, LOL. White Trash Zombie Apocalypse looks interesting!

    Nice Haul!

Here's what I got this week at Book2Buzz!

  6. I didn't love the Y the Last Man series as much as I loved the experience of Fables. If you can take some more graphic content and language, you should try reading Brian K. Vaughan's Saga series (there are only two so far) and the Chew series (up to 6). I am reading the latter and they are so quick and entertaining. Glad you are having fun in Fabletown<3

I highly recommend Fables! They're so much fun and so interesting! Will have to check out the GoT graphic novels… those sound fun too. 🙂

Aw, they aren't free anymore? That's a bummer. They were all 3 free sometime last week. I'm finding the White Trash Zombie series is steadily declining in 'fun' but I still keep reading them… lol

I don't usually read graphic novels actually but had a recent urge to check out some new ones. 🙂 Thanks for stopping by.

Yeah, I read the first one yesterday (Y the last man) and it was interesting but not nearly as fun as Fables. Will definitely have to check out the Chew series… my library doesn't have the Saga series. May have to request they purchase it. 🙂

  11. I am currently on Fables number 10! I love that series. I am so glad I found it and that my library carries them.
