Showcase Sunday (53)

Posted July 21, 2013 by Bonnie in Sunday Book Haul / 13 Comments

Sorry guys, still no pretty pictures because I STILL don’t have a phone. I feel totally lost without my phone so hopefully I won’t have to wait too much longer. 🙂 Anyways! I have quite a few new review books to share and tons of library books (despite my self-imposed library ban).
Review Books
The Cuckoo's Calling
The Thinking Woman's Guide to Real MagicThe Lemon Orchard
The Lemon Orchard by Luanne Rice {Purchase}
Circle Of Shadows (Crowther and Westerman, #4)The Girl You Left Behind
Thank you Pamela Dorman Books/Penguin for this awesome Summer Prize Pack!

Library Checkouts
The Devil All the Time
The Devil All the Time by Donald Ray Pollock {Purchase}
Rory begged and pleaded with me enough to finally read this one. Man. Southern people are CRAZY.
I’m looking at a stack of 15 Fables Graphic Novels so I’ll spare you that many cover pictures. Let me just say, this is one seriously entertaining story. If you care to check them out the above Fables screenshot takes you to the full series list of Fables.

  1. I've not heard of any of these but some have great titles and covers 🙂 It's been entirely too long since I read a graphic novel…I didn't know you could check them out at the library actually. Have a great week Bonnie 🙂

  2. I really need to read a book b y JoJo Moyes already, I remember how much you loved her last one! I've also never heard of Fables before either. I like checking out different books to what I would normally read! Happy reading Bonnie! 🙂

    Ha ha! A library ban, well at least you are just checking them out instead of purchasing. I can never get my kids to let me spend too long perusing my kind of books, which is a good thing since I have so many ARCs anyway. Have a great week, Bonnie!

    I remember looking up the Women's Guide to Real Magic and it seems like it could potentially be really good! Look forward to hearing your opinion on it!

  8. I haven't heard of any of your books except for The Cuckoo's Calling. I wonder if it'll have a better reaction than The Casual Vacancy. Enjoy your reads, Bonnie. 🙂

    My library doesn't have too many graphic novels but fortunately they have the whole Fables series. 🙂
