So, I haven’t had access to my mailbox for over two weeks. My sixteen year old step-son was at our community pool at night with a friend and as they were packing up their stuff to head home they got freaked out and ran home, accidentally leaving the pool key which also had my mailbox key attached. Why did they get freaked out? They thought they saw a coyote and apparently they thought it was going to eat them. The key wasn’t there when he went outside the next day to check. I FINALLY got my replacement yesterday and there was so much mail it didn’t seem at all possible for it to have all been able to fit inside my small mail cube. Two weeks worth of mail and three books, and yes, one of my books is slightly bent. I hate my mailman. But here are my goodies!
For Review
Landline by Rainbow Rowell {Purchase}
“No fucking way” were the first words out of my mouth upon opening this. So angry because the date on the package tells me that it’s been sitting there for two weeks. Stupid coyotes. I know what I’m reading this weekend though!
Won!
Fevre Dream by George R.R. Martin {Purchase}
Magician (The Riftwar Saga #1-2) by Raymond E. Feist {Purchase}
Thanks to the lovely Dani over at Ageless Pages Reviews, I won $20 towards the Book Depository and this is what I picked! George wrote about vampires?? I only found this out recently and it was a must have. I’ve been branching out into fantasy more and more lately and Feist is so well-known I wanted to read something of his.
Purchases
I went to the bookstore for a little Friday night fun, because I’m wild and crazy like that, and I got some awesome stuff! I traded some books and ended up leaving with the above for $4. You can’t beat that.
The Devil You Know (Felix Castor #1) by Mike Carey {Purchase}
The Outlaw Album: Stories by Daniel Woodrell {Purchase}
Crooked Letter, Crooked Letter by Tom Franklin {Purchase}
Frenchman’s Creek by Daphne du Maurier {Purchase}
High Fidelity by Nick Hornby {Purchase}
What new book goodies did you guys get this week?
I still haven’t read anything by Rainbow. I supposed I should fix that one of these days. I’ll be stalking your blog for your review!
Coyote’s? How about Gators, and snakes, and mosquitoes, and Palmetto bugs! Enjoy your week! Hopefully it will be stress free!

I’m so incredibly jealous right now. So jealous. You have LANDLINE! I’ve pre-ordered it and hopefully it’ll arrive next week but I am dying to read it. I have loved all of her books so dying to read the latest one! I love fantasy and have Magician sitting on my kindle waiting to be read. Great haul 🙂

I couldn’t believe it was in my mailbox. I haven’t read any of her YA stories but she hasn’t disappointed me yet so I think they need to go on my TBR for sure. Really enjoyed Attachments.

😮 I’d go crazy if I couldn’t reach my mail. Glad it got sorted though. I enjoyed Landline but it’s not my fave RR 🙂

Oh I went pretty insane. lol
The only other Rowell I’ve read is Attachments and so far I’m liking this more than that one. Still need to read her YA!

Stupid coyotes, indeed! Definitely going to check out that George R.R. Martin book — I didn’t know about it either!
