Summer Breaktime + 3rd Blogoversary!

July 12, 2014 Bonnie Announcements 6 Comments

Hello, everyone! Hope you’re all having a fabulous summertime and not melting too badly like I am. I’ve decided to take a bit of a break for a few reasons:

1. Life has become a busy again lately with work and all my ongoing kid stuff. Plus I’ve been reading too many large books and can’t seem to keep up on posting. I’m currently reading Written in My Own Heart’s Blood by Diana Gabaldon (848 pages), Storm of Swords by George R. R. Martin (1216 pages) and Shadow of Night by Deborah Harkness (24 hours – audiobook). Reading little bits of each of these leaves me with no idea when I’ll actually finish a book. lol I’d really love to be able to focus on reading and have a nice stock of reviews available for future postings.

2. I’m flying to Kentucky with my mom to see my grandpa and won’t have internet service unless I go hang out in McDonalds. There aren’t even Starbucks. Yes, I’m already panicking.

3. It’s my 3rd blogoversary on the 15th! *cheers* And I’d like to celebrate by taking some time off from blogging. Makes sense, no?

Celebratory cupcakes! Mmmmm… cupcakes.

I’ll be back with some new posts for you guys in a few weeks. I’ve got Bookish Bingo to keep up on after all. 🙂

Happy Blogoversary, Bonnie! You deserve a break. I have the same issue when I visit my Mom in NY. No internet. Even without it, hopefully, you’ll have a nice visit, and then return home where you can focus on enjoying the summer.

Happy 3rd blogoversary, and enjoy your time off! I hope you’re enjoying your big books, too. I just gave myself to take my time with Written in My Own Heart’s Blood, and I’m glad I did. I really loved it, and was happy to ignore all the rest of my reading pile. Can’t wait to start the Harkness book this week!
