Top Ten Tuesday – Autumn 2015 TBR Plans

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by The Broke and the Bookish

Autumn, my favorite season, is finally here as of tomorrow, September 23rd. It’s been a long, hot summer and I’m eager for the cool temperatures. Except Autumn lasts a few short weeks where I live before we’re tossed headfirst into Winter. And if the weather reports can be trusted, we’re in for a doozy of a Winter. But for now, I’m looking forward to the leaves changing colors, busting out my scarves, and curling up with some of these planned reads:

In October, I’m bringing back my month-long horror read extravaganza. I’ve decided to put more of a focus on the more classic horror stories that I’ve missed so far. Here are just a few:

Psycho by Robert Bloch
The Amityville Horror by Jay Anson
The Exorcist by William Peter Blatty
Red Dragon (Hannibal Lecter #1) by Thomas Harris
Hell House by Richard Matheson

And here are five upcoming review/bingo books I’m most looking forward to:

The Hollow Boy (Lockwood & Co. #3) by Jonathan Stroud
The Lake House by Kate Morton
Illuminae (The Illuminae Files #1) by Amie Kaufman & Jay Kristoff
Pretty Girls by Karin Slaughter
Furiously Happy: A Funny Book About Horrible Things by Jenny Lawson

  1. I just picked up a copy of Furiously Happy last night at Walmart. I saw it, there were only 2 left, and I couldn’t resist. I love the author so much I am sure I will not regret it. Great list of horror. I believe I read Hell House years and years ago. The Amityville Horror scares me more than any other horror movie I have ever seen – don’t think I could read the book.
