Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by The Broke and the Bookish
I was a big time comic book nerd when I was a kid. I’d read any I could get my hands on but I was super obsessed with the X-Men. I even had ginormous posters of Storm and Rogue in their skin-tight outfits that totally would have belonged in some teenage boys bedroom. I forgot a bit about my love of comics as I got older so imagine my surprise when I became a blogger and realized there’s an actual market for them still. Comics, graphic novels, if there’s a difference I have no idea what it is but damn, do they ever make me feel like a happy little kid again. These, in a variety of genres, are the best of the bunch.

It’s super obscure but it’s one I’ve managed to stick with on every new release. Lady Killer was a ton of fun… did you watch Outcast the show? Even better than the graphic novel actually.

I wish my library would get the Revival graphic novel. Maybe I’ll request they order a copy – they are pretty good at requests. I read the first Outcast book and it wasn’t my favorite. I plan on continuing but am not in a hurry. I like the HBO series much better. Nice list!

FYI there are deluxe editions of the Revival comics… I think there are three total so far. Revival was surprisingly awesome and I’m so glad mine bought them. The Outcast show IS fantastic I completely agree.

Yaaay, you have The Unwritten on your list, too! That officially makes you the only other person I’ve seen to have it today. And I’ve been dying to read Locke & Key, Bitch Planet, and Lady Killer for so long, but just haven’t had the time. ๐ Great list!
Unwritten seems to be quite the hidden gem for sure! I haven’t finished all of them but the ones I’ve read were quite enjoyable. ๐

I never read a comic book.So The only ones I read were the VA and Percy Jackson graphic novels. But we did something a little different. Allyson added some comics she read on her list.
