It’s never more evident how all over the place my reading picks are than when I do a best of list. Memoir, graphic novel, Dystopian, Romance, Non-Fiction, Science Fiction, Fantasy, and even a re-read (and a DNF) of two books I didn’t like the first time around. I’ve got a little bit of everything in this list. Here are my current favorite ten reads for the year… so far. 🙂
I Remember Nothing: and Other Reflections by Nora Ephron
Lady Killer 2 by Joëlle Jones
Scythe (Arc of a Scythe #1) by Neal Shusterman
The Dry (Aaron Falk #1) by Jane Harper
Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury
The Hidden Oracle (The Trials of Apollo #1) by Rick Riordan
Love and Other Words by Christina Lauren
What You Are Getting Wrong About Appalachia by Elizabeth Catte
Lock In (Lock In #1) by John Scalzi
Still Me (Me Before You #3) by Jojo Moyes
So many books I want to read on this list! I’m dying to check out Lady Killers. And glad to see Lock In on here, love that book!

Lady Killer is so much fun. Lock In was fantastic! My first Scalzi too and certainly won’t be my last.

I love eclectic readers (at least that’s how I refer to myself). I’ve even read 2 memoirs/biographies this year which is kind of out of character for me. I ADORE the cover of Lady Killers.
I can’t understand how some readers manage to stick to a typical genre. I’m all over the place with my reading but that’s just how I like it. 🙂

Love and Other Words is on my shortlist for best of the year, too! I want a redo of this post (since the topic changed) just so I can gush about L&OW. Swoon.

We are SO on the same page. I just finished Scythe last night, and loved it! Can’t wait to start #2 — picking it up at the library this weekend. I loved Lock In as well, and Jojo Moyes, of course. I’m a read-all-genres type of reader as well. I get bored and dissatisfied if I read too much of any one kind of book in too short a time… with the exception of series I love, where I’ll read them all in a row until I run out!

Scythe is one of my favorites, too!
