Top Ten Tuesday – Best Scary Reads

October 29, 2013 Bonnie Top Ten Tuesday 18 Comments

I did a similar post about scary reads last year but wanted to share some reads from this past year that I found particularly creepy (and a few that didn’t make the top ten cut from last year). Not all of these are focused on the paranormal and aren’t exactly fit for a ‘Halloween’ read but are no less able to get under your skin.

For an Eerie Paranormal kind of scary

I like how you’ve divided these up, hah. I liked Blackbirds and Diviners so I will have to look out for those other two as well! We’re posting our spooky recs on Thursday, and I have some Halloween recs up tomorrow, too. Including The Waking Dark. 🙂

I love several on your list, especially The Devil All the Time, of course. As hard as I’ve campaigned for that novel, you are only the second person I know to read it.

And In the Tall Grass, I still don’t look as a margarita the same. Yuck.
