Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by The Broke and the Bookish
Today’s post is dedicated to the remainder of 2015 (how has half the year already flown by?) and to the books we’re most anticipating. I don’t know about you but the second half looks to be as awesome as the first half and I had a hard time narrowing it down to just 10! But I did it, and here they all are. Can’t wait to get my hands on these.
Armada by Ernest Cline (Expected publication: July 14th 2015 by Crown Publishing)
It’s been about a decade since Ready Player One was released (okay, not really but it sure feels like it!) I can only hope that this painful wait is all worth while.
Slasher Girls & Monster Boys by April Genevieve Tucholke (Expected publication: August 18th 2015 by Dial Books)
I am only an occasional reader of short stories and I don’t usually seek them out. This collection though? Not only are they horror stories (omg yes) but an incredible collection of authors. Seriously so excited for this to release.
Queen of Shadows (Throne of Glass #4) by Sarah J. Maas (Expected publication: September 1st 2015 by Bloomsbury USA Childrens)
Winter (The Lunar Chronicles #4) by Marissa Meyer (Expected publication: November 10th 2015 by Feiwel and Friends)
I don’t even need to explain these two, right?
The Hollow Boy (Lockwood & Co. #3) by Jonathan Stroud (Expected publication: September 15th 2015 by Disney-Hyperion)
I read the first two [book 1//book 2] in this series back to back last year and adored them. Such fun, exciting stories with just enough horror to make it interesting.
Blood and Salt by Kim Liggett (Expected publication: September 22nd 2015 by G.P. Putnam’s Sons Books for Young Readers)
So, I like horror stories. Romantic horror? Yeah, I don’t know. Comparing this as Romeo and Juliet meets Children of the Corn sounds very strange but this sounds really darn good.
Library of Souls (Miss Peregrine’s Peculiar Children #3) by Ransom Riggs (Expected publication: September 22nd 2015 by Quirk Books)
The last one! These books have been really good and while I’m definitely going to have to find a recap for book 2 (my memory bites) I’m very excited for this one.
Furiously Happy: A Funny Book About Horrible Things by Jenny Lawson (Expected publication: September 22nd 2015 by Flatiron Books)
I don’t think a book has ever made me laugh as hard as Let’s Pretend This Never Happened. Jenny Lawson’s humor is spot on and I anticipate this one will make me furiously happy.
The Lake House by Kate Morton (Expected publication: October 20th 2015 by Atria Books)
So, I have only read two of Kate Morton’s books (they’re ginormous, give me a break) but they’re so my kind of book. Dual timeline narratives can be so much fun and Kate is the queen of those types of stories.
Illuminae (The Illuminae Files #1) by Amie Kaufman & Jay Kristoff (Expected publication: October 20th 2015 by Knopf Books for Young Readers)
Have I read anything by either one of these authors? Nope, not yet. But this science fiction/dystopian twist with a dash of romance sounds like so much fun. Kind of gives me Fortune’s Pawn feels.
Wow, awesome list, Bonnie! I have a couple of these on my list as well. I’m saving Armada for next week’s list, LOL. Have to make them different! And oh my gosh, I am a huge Kate Morton fan too:-)

hahaha Oh man, you’re right about next weeks topic. Hmmm going to have to mix it up. Maybe I’ll just use the ARCs releasing this summer I already have. Got enough of those. lol Yay for another Kate Morton fan! I actually have a few of hers to get through still but The Secret Keeper is one of my all-time favorites.

Illuminae, Illuminae and Illuminae. Also, Queen of Shadows… and Furiosult Happy has me intrigued (because of the cover)
