She had the perfect life.
She had the perfect cover.
She was the perfect witness.
Until they found her.
From the blockbuster bestselling author of the Eve Duncan novels comes a new, stand alone thriller about a woman with a photographic memory who has lived her life in the Witness Protection Program. What she once saw put her entire family in jeopardy and now, years later, her cover is blown. She’s on the run, and the lives of those she holds dear hang in the balance. As only Iris Johansen can do, the pages turn themselves and you won’t see the twists coming.
I’ve been a long time fan of Iris Johansen’s works but haven’t read anything of hers for a few years. Looking forward to this one though as I really like the sound of it!
What are you waiting on this Wednesday? Leave me a link to your post and I’ll be sure to stop by!
Waiting on Wednesday is hosted by Jill @ Breaking the Spine
I don’t think I’ve ever read an Iris Johansen book, but I don’t read many mysteries. However, this sounds really exciting! Awesome pick:-)

I’m not usually much of a thriller/mystery fan, but this does sound good!

I have been wanting to try this author for so long but I have been overwhelmed by the length of her series so a stand alone is a good for me.

I remember how much you like this author! I haven’t read her in years, since she was primarily a romance author, I think. It’s nice to see that she’s still going strong, it’s so interesting when you see romance authors cross over to mainstream.
Have you read Tess Gerritsen? Her Rizzoli and Isles series is really good, especially the earlier books. They are NOTHING like the campy television series. The author was a pathologist, so the coroner scenes are really well done, as are the crime procedural stuff. I think you’d like her medical mysteries as well, I wish she was still writing those. But sadly, that genre doesn’t seem to be in favor any more.

I haven’t read any Gerritsen but I haven’t seen the show either. I love that whole genre, and you’re right, it doesn’t seem to be very popular these days. I’ll put The Surgeon on my TBR though!

Oh, good! We seem to have similar taste in the creepy crime books, so think you’ll like her. I am really glad you’ve never seen the tv series. Just…don’t.
I quite liked her scifi book GRAVITY, too. It’s a bit more romance-y, but I don’t mind that a-tall. 😉

hahaha Duly noted. I’ll stay away. 🙂
It’s been a long time since I’ve read a crime thriller. A really long time. But oh, I just read Imaginary Girls (finally)! What a trip.

I knew I recognized her name! I definitely haven’t read anything from her, but I quite like the sound of this. Action and mystery! 🙂
Hmm. Usually I don’t read thrillers but this one sounds pretty interesting. I hope you enjoy it!

I read a few of her Eve Duncan books some years ago and I remember enjoying them. This sounds really good! I’d like to pick this up. Maybe I’ll check out the audio. Great pick, Bonnie! 🙂
