Every once in a while it’s good to mix it up and do a random, fun post. I’ve never participated in a Book Tag before but I think it’s something I could get used to. 🙂 I found this Book Tag by way of Jessie at Ageless Pages Reviews who found it posted by Lindsey at Bring My Books (who also created these adorable graphics!). The original tag was created by YouTube user Kellys BookSpill, and can be found here!
Basically the entire Fever series. I don’t know how it’s even possible but I read the entire (original 5 books, all 2,354 pages) series in a single week. I was working full time and I attended 4 hours of night school four days a week as well.
I read a lot of horror so I feel I’m kind of immune to most I read in the genre these days. But The Woman in Black by Susan Hill freaked me out so bad I had to ask my partner to walk with me upstairs to our darkened bedroom. lol
This book, which I shortened to ‘Horsey Camp‘, has become the reference point for how bad a book is. “Yeah, this is shit… but is it Horsey Camp bad?” This book received all the rave reviews but I found this to be terribly dull.
Hands down, A Court of Wings and Ruin (A Court of Thorns and Roses #3) by Sarah J. Maas. It has become a tradition for me to take the release day off for new installments in her Throne of Glass series but I’m planning on doing that for this book as well.
Probably Hunger Games. Or any story where the world has ended and there are zombies and I’m required to run to save my life. I like to imagine that I’d be a badass that could hold my own in hand-to- hand combat and that I wouldn’t accidentally eat some poisonous berry and die but I’d probably be one of the first to go.
I’ve read so many insane cliffhangers that I couldn’t even think of one when I got to this question. And then I was reminded how brutal the ending of Heir of Fire, the third installment in the Throne of Glass series, was. I binge read the first three and then had to wait 9 months for the next one. It was a painfully long time.
This is probably more space than night time but I think it’s gorgeous.
Definitely the Harry Potter world. Getting my school supplies in Diagon Alley. Picking out a pet. Platform 9¾ at King’s Cross Station. Taking the Hogwarts Express. Making new forever friends. Changing into our robes. Getting sorted into our respective houses. Learning about magic. Practicing magic. Roaming the castle. *sigh*
Um, no monsters? Only massive dust bunnies, please and thank you. But if I really had to pick, I’d say definitely no to Pennywise. Holy hell no.
