Showcase Sunday (37)

Posted March 31, 2013 by Bonnie in Sunday Book Haul / 13 Comments

I received several review books this week… one in the mail and the others from Edelweiss/Netgalley. Oh, well. 🙂 I’ve already read A Textbook Case which was a super short story by one of my favorite authors. Crazy excited for The School for Good and Evil after seeing the super awesome trailer for it last week. The others I’ve heard fantastic things from already so I’m looking forward to them as well.

Same thing with her previous book, The Night She Disappeared, it could've been really lame but I was pleased. Hopefully this one goes the same route! 🙂

I'm just now starting The Night She Disappeared because the UK publishers didn't pick it up sooner. It was in the mail along with the Clockwork Princess and I'm very excited about it. I had no idea she had another book coming up. Clearly I am well informed.

Oh how good does The Girl Who Was Supposed to Die sound? I requested that one and should be getting it soon. It seems like it's one that could go either way though, so I hope it's good! Great haul, Bonnie!

  4. The School of Good and Evil looks interesting. The cover makes me think of a Japanese video game and so I really really want it (I'm a huge fan of JRPGs, etc.).

  5. The Ashford Affair sounds really good! I love stories about family secrets and the search for answers. Added to my wish list!

  6. The Girl Who was Supposed to Die sounds fantastic, Henry's first novel has only become available here, but I've heard nothing but great reviews about it! I hope you enjoy all your reads Bonnie! 🙂

  7. The Girl Who Was Supposed to Die sounds terrifying and thrilling. I read April's The Night She Disappeared and really enjoyed it so I'm excited for this one as well. Enjoy your reads Bonnie. 🙂

The cover of The Girl Who was Meant to Die has me so intrigued, and a little scared for the girl. I hope you enjoy these reads!

  9. Oh I so can't wait to hear your thoughts on The School For Good and Evil. That book has building in buzz ever since I featured it on my WOW. Not that I started it or anything, that was just the first I had heard of it when I found it in a catalog. I cannot wait to read it. I didn't request it because I have so many, so your review will definitely help coerce me into buying if it's good!
