Showcase Sunday (44)

Posted May 19, 2013 by Bonnie in Sunday Book Haul / 12 Comments

Suffice it to say, I’m ecstatic about my new book loot this week. When The Bone Season arrived in my mailbox, I practically screamed with joy. There’s been so much hype behind this book but I have a feeling it’s all warranted. Can’t wait to dive into it! Also got a few ebooks from Edelweiss and Netgalley for review that look great.

Thanks to Jenn Bennett who was hosting a Twitter giveaway for her latest, Binding the Shadows. I won and she was kind enough to send me a signed copy with some incredibly kind words. Thank you so much, Jenn!

And sure, I know I have two library books sitting around that I still need to read but two of my holds came in, both of which are new releases. Adulting looked too funny (and quite possibly knowledgeable) to pass up and Under the Light is one followup I have been crazy eager to get my hands on.

So what did you get this week??

For Review
The Bone Season (Scion #1) by Samantha Shannon {Purchase}
Tumble & FallAsylum
Tumble & Fall by Alexandra Coutts {Purchase}

    I love that we both received Tumble & Fall. Hopefully we will both end up liking it. Congrats on winning a signed book from Jenn!

  3. The Bone Season! *flails* I want that to be good SO BADLY. Also, I need to reread A Certain Slant of Light so that I can read the sequel. 🙂

    Ohh, I'm looking forward to Bone Season and Asylum, too! Can't wait to see what you think of those, AND Under the Light. 🙂

    I had a pretty epic mail week too, including the much-coveted Tumble & Fall. 🙂

  5. Tumble & Fall looks so, so good. I kind of want to drop everything and read it, but of course I can't. (Curse you, responsibility!)

    Something very satisfying about a new book pile – enjoy! Thanks for your good wishes when I was feeling grim.

    I really enjoyed The Bone Season, though it does take a while for everything to fall into place clearly. I can't wait to see what you think! I'm really curious about Asylum and Tumble and Fall too.
