I purchased way more books (and audiobooks) than is normal for me this week but got the most fabulous deals on most of them so I’m not feeling too guilty. I also purchased an Audible membership because they offered me a pretty awesome deal. I get the first 3 months for only $7.49! Pretty excited about that although I have two audiobooks I’ve got my eye on that release in August so I might just save my credits for those… we’ll see. 🙂
Purchases from Audible
Frankenstein and A Tale of Two Cities are two classics I haven’t yet read and have always been meaning to. Dan Stevens is one of my most favorite audiobook narrators and the clip I listened to made this a must buy. Fortunately, I had an Audible credit available. A Tale of Two Cities and Dracula (a re-read must because LOOK at the fabulous narrator list) were both only $0.99.
Frankenstein by Mary Shelley, Dan Stevens (Narrator) {Purchase}
A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens, Simon Vance (Narrator) {Purchase}
Dracula by Bram Stoker, Alan Cumming (Narrator), Tim Curry (Narrator) {Purchase}
Purchases for Kindle
I purchased Ruin and Rising with every intention of starting immediately so as to prevent the final story from being spoiled for me but… life happens. I hope to get to it soon though. 🙂 Both Seed and Speaks the Nightbird were books I’ve had my eye on for quite some time. The price of Seed was recently reduced to only $0.99and Speaks the Nightbird was a $1.99 Kindle Daily Deal last week. Can’t beat those prices.
Ruin and Rising (The Grisha #3)Â by Leigh Bardugo {Purchase}
Seed by Ania Ahlborn {Purchase}
Speaks the Nightbird (Matthew Corbett #1)Â by Robert McCammon {Purchase}
For Review
My single book I received for review is one I’m most anticipating… even though I haven’t read the 2nd book in the series. Maybe this will be the kick in the pants I need to finally get around to doing that. 🙂
The Book of Life (All Souls Trilogy #3)Â by Deborah Harkness {Purchase}
Ruin and Rising is going to unnerve me. I keep cringing when I see a review, or someone talk about it. I truly will go nuts if someone spoils the book before I get a chance to read it. I might have to break the bank and buy it soon! I still haven’t listened to any audiobooks. Just figure I don’t need them when I’m really going no place special. Have a great week!
I wanted to get The Book of Life from Netgalley so so so badly, alas, I was denied. So, I will be patiently awaiting its release in July. 🙂

I’m waiting for the Book of Life to release start the whole series — bought the first book for my husband when it first came out and THEN we found out it was a series — he was so mad at me! Now that is the final book is right around the corner, perhaps he will finally let go of that grudge, LOL
