Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by The Broke and the Bookish
Since I joined the world of blogging, the amount of recommendations I get is enormous and I love it. There are so many books that I have ended up loving that I don’t think I would have ever picked up on my own without getting a kick in the pants. These three individuals are responsible for giving me the most recommendations to date and the top five book recommendations that I have loved the most.
Recs from Mom
My mom has been recommending me books my entire life and I must say she’s pretty damn good at it. Not only are these my favorite of her recommendations, they’re also some of my all-time favorite books in general.
The Wood Wife by Terri Windling [Purchase]
Heart-Shaped Box by Joe Hill [Purchase]
The Collector by John Fowles [Purchase//Review]
The Silver Wolf (Legends of the Wolf #1) by Alice Borchardt [Purchase//Review]
Night Shift by Stephen King [Purchase]
Recs from Wendy
I’m so happy to have stayed connected with Wendy throughout all these years of blogging. She reads from a wide assortment of genres and always manages to recommend the most perfect “me” books. 🙂
Affinity by Sarah Waters [Purchase]
The Reapers Are the Angels (Reapers #1) by Joshua Gaylord [Purchase//Review]
The Assassin’s Blade by Sarah J. Maas [Purchase]
A Certain Slant of Light (Light #1) by Laura Whitcomb [Purchase//Review]
Imaginary Girls by Nova Ren Suma [Purchase//Review]
Recs from Dani
Dani has read all the books (serious, like all of them) and she’s the kind of book friend that is always pushing me to read the ones I’ve had on my TBR for far too long. The ones worthwhile and boy were these worthwhile. No idea why I waited so long but better late than never.
And Then There Were None by Agatha Christie [Purchase//Review]
Blindness by José Saramago [Purchase//Review]
A Walk in the Woods: Rediscovering America on the Appalachian Trail by Bill Bryson [Purchase//Review]
Stardust by Neil Gaiman [Purchase]
Big Fish by Daniel Wallace [Purchase//Review]
Oh, I didn’t realise Big Fish was a book – I’ve seen the movie and thought it was lovely, so I definitely want to read the book now!

YES! Stardust! Love that book. I just saw that it was rereleased with a new cover the other day and almost picked it up, but I think I like some of the older covers better so I’ll have to buy one of those instead!

I’ve never heard of The Wood Wife before, but I just read the synopsis on Goodreads and thought it sounded really intriguing. Thanks! 😀
