Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by The Broke and the Bookish
Today’s topic is a Fandom Freebie and the most important fandom that I consider myself a part of is, of course, Harry Potter. I haven’t done too many HP specific posts shockingly enough (I discussed why I love HP and last year’s Santa List was predominantly HP stuff), so this time I’ve decided to talk about the Harry Potter related things I’d love to do.
I’ve received my Hogwarts letter:
And I definitely know my House:
But the other awesome Harry Potter related things one can do are endless. Here are just a few that I’d love to say I’ve done… someday.
Glenfinnan Viaduct, Scotland
Who wouldn’t want to take a steam train over the Glenfinnan Viaduct just like in the movies?
Elephant House
Just to see where it all began. Plus, I hear they have great coffee. 🙂
Kings Cross, London
Ask the employees in London’s King Cross station how to find Platform 9 3/4? Awww yeees.
Bodleian Library, Oxford
I’ve always wanted to see this library after the beautiful descriptions in The Discovery of Witches, but certain library scenes in the Harry Potter movies were shot there as well.
The Wizarding World of Harry Potter, Florida, Japan, and LA
Naturally.
Let a wand pick me
I’ll bring a fan with me so I can do a perfect reenactment. lol
See Cursed Child on Broadway
Butterbeer
Seriously. I can’t die until I’ve had authentic Butterbeer.
Get a Harry Potter tattoo
What would I get? Absolutely no idea.
Write some Harry Potter fan-fic someday for fun
Who knows, could be fun. 🙂
Fully support all of the above. Let’s go get inked NOW!
Dani, we’re at work. LOL
I love love love your bucket list!! So many perfect HP moments on here. I’ve been to Kings Cross station and the Wizarding World in Orlando but I’d love to experience everything else. I’ve never been to Scotland, seems like a must! And I don’t have any tattoos but one I’ve contemplated is the Harry Potter chapter stars on my wrist. Hope you get to check some items off your list soon!

The chapter stars would be a nice, lovely one to get, I agree! Thanks, Morgan! I hope I do too. 🙂

I always wonder what the numbers are for Hours — like how many people identify. I also wonder how many people get the “right” House from Pottermore? I am a Ravenclaw twice over, but I def think that Slytherin would be the alterative.
I DIDN’T EVEN KNOW that was a real train ride you could take?? I have a long goal of a 2-week England/Ireland/Scotland vacation and now I know one part of what I will be doing while there.
Elephant House and Kings Cross are also musts.
“I;ll bring a fan” lol I appreciate your dedication to movie accuracy!
YES REAL BUTTERBEER I NEED IT. I know there are recipes for at home but I refuse to sully myself with anything less than the real thing.
I think actually seeing Cursed Child would be the only way I can accept it as canon. Apparently seen as a play it’s much better. (I can only hope.)
This post is goals!

I’ve read a lot into it and found this absolutely fascinating site (http://sortinghatchats.tumblr.com/masterpost) where it takes about primary and secondary houses … I’m a Slytherclaw. But absolutely no doubt a Slytherin first. lol
Ooooh, yes you must ride the train. And pictures. All the pictures!
So I actually had Starbucks make this secret menu butterbeer and while it was delicious (and no doubt about 1500 calories) it wasn’t the same. I want the real thing!

What a great list! I would love to get my own Hogwarts letter?? That’s amazing.
I do want to get a Harry Potter tattoo soon. I’m thinking of getting one in the next few months. I really want a tattoo that just says “lumos” in cursive writing.

This (http://hellogiggles.com/hogwarts-acceptance-letter/) is where I went and took that little quiz — I don’t think it works anymore!! 🙁
Lumos would be a lovely little piece. I’m partial to the simplistic page stars myself. 🙂
