Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by The Broke and the Bookish
When I think of beach reads, I think of contemporary novels. Most are fluffy and contain some form of romance. I don’t typically read a lot in that genre type but they are fun occasionally and I currently find myself with an abundance of them on my TBR. These are the ones I’d pick to accompany me onto the beach. 🏖

Nice list! I haven’t heard about any of the books you mentioned but Love is a Mix Tape looks so cute! I hope you’ll enjoy them all! Have a great week!

I grabbed Love is a Mix Tape a few weeks ago since I love music. I have a couple by that author but haven’t gotten around to any of them. I don’t read tons of contemporary so I did a summer horror list!

I’ve heard such great things about Rob Sheffield that I had to! A summer horror list?!??! That’s exciting. I loooove me some horror. I’m heading over now. 😀

Me too, I haven’t read a fluffy contemporary in several years, but summer definitely gives me the urge to switch gears. Hope you enjoy these if you read them:-)

Oh man, I have to read a fluffy book occasionally just to mix it up even if I don’t usually end up reviewing them. 🙂

I was so disappointed in Simplicity of Cider, it wasn’t as light and fluffy as I wanted. Bet Me is really cute. I like the looks of the Mixed Tape book.
Shucks, I’m thinking that one was going to be next. I’m reading What Nora Knew right now and just finished Hello, Sunshine.

I don’t read a lot of fluffy contemporary either (unless you count romance?) but that’s what I think of when the term “summer reads” comes up, too. Jennifer Crusie is a great choice for those beachy days because her books are so OTT and fun.

I don’t read a lot of that type either but I do occasionally just to mix it up a bit. Sometimes I just need a fluffy read. 🙂
