Top Ten Books I Wouldn’t Mind Santa Bringing Me

Top Ten Tuesday is hosted by The Broke and the Bookish.

I utilize my local library a lot and I’m fortunate enough to have a library that (most of the time) buys the items I request so I really have a whole lot of randomness on my wishlist. There are a few that they haven’t purchased and there’s a few that I just wouldn’t mind having in my personal library. Here are just a few!

A Summer of Drowning by John Burnside
The Complete Stories by Flannery O’Connor
I could make an entire Top Ten Tuesday just for the Aussie books that are so darn difficult to get a hold of! But I’ll keep it at three.
The Bridge by Jane Higgins {Purchase}
Preloved by Shirley Marr
Silvermay (Silvermay #1) by James Moloney
It’s funny… there are more and more UK books that are managing to be just as difficult to get a hold of as Aussie books! And there are a lot of good Christmas-y ones lately too. 🙂
Unrest by Michelle Harrison
Once More With Feeling by Megan Crane
Winter Wonderland by Belinda Jones

What books would you like Santa to bring you? Leave me a link to your Tuesday Posts and I’ll be sure and stop by!

  1. I heartily endorse the Hunter Thompson, just because everything I’ve read so far of his has been so funny and kooky and completely ALIVE. I’ll be after the Cupcake Cafe one as soon as I’ve read the first book too! I’m thinking a little Jenny Colgan will be a delightful counter to some of the cold weather this winter… 🙂

    Thanks for stopping by!

  2. My husband seems to think that all writers are like Hunter S Thompson (chain smoking alcoholics), so when he makes up my “care kit” for National Novel Writing Month, he always includes bourbon and cigarettes. 😀

I’ve been dabbling in Aussie authors recently…well, if you consider reading 3 books by australian authors dabbling. Two of them were by the same author (Evil Genius and Reformed Vampire Suport Group), but it still counts!

  3. LOVE Flannery O’Connor. She’s so brilliant (though I swear I read “A Good Man Is Hard to Find” about a dozen times in school!).

Hope you get everything you’ve wished for! Happy Holidays!

I love the cover of Once More With Feeling! The Bridge has a great cover, as well! Happy (early) holidays (:

If I’m honest I haven’t heard of any of those book, I think. But I loved the cover of Silvermay and prelove. I’ll be checking those out 🙂

Thanks for stopping by my TTT.

Gah, I know about Aussie books! I’m quite curious about Preloved. Those holiday books look adorable. 😀

I’m never sure if I want Christmas stuff for Christmas. I think I’d want those last two tiles pre-Christmas so I could get into the festive spirit. I hope you see at least a few under your tree!

Thanks for commenting on my blog. I like yours and am a new follower here 🙂 I’m glad you’re enjoying the Diviners because I think I might buy it… And I rarely buy books because what’s a library for right? I love your winter themed book list, they sound good! lDevoured by Books

  9. I’ve looked at Christmas at the Cupcake Cafe a few times whilst browsing Christmassy books recently! I decided I have to read more festive books this year to get me in the mood 😀 really great selection! Thanks so much for stopping by my blog! Have a great week 😀
